One thing you are going to notice when you are wagering online at various blackjack locations is the amount of bonuses available to you. If you go to three casinos for example, most likely you are going to immediately see at least six different bonuses to take advantage of. Here is the thing though—not all bonuses are built to your advantage. You have to be smart enough to think them through and understand which ones are going to be the most beneficial to your gaming style when you are wagering. For example, let’s say you find a bonus that is advertised on the surface as “$150 in free money”. To the novice gambler this may mean that they automatically get $150 into their account to wager with. This is true…sometimes. Here is where you have to do some investigating. Sure some casinos offer bonuses at their actual wording, but others hide a different story within their Terms and Conditions. Every bonus you take advantage of is going to have some terms that you have to follow to get it. For example, in the above example the terms are going to tell you what the rules are. Let’s say you are wagering with that first $150. Just because you get a winning combination on a game, doesn’t mean you automatically get the payout. The terms of the bonus could state that you have “a wager requirement of $200” before you earn your wins. That means you can wager with that first $150 all you want, but you aren’t eligible to take home your spoils until you start putting up your own money.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that the deal is bad. You could still work with it, but you have to know what the terms are. Casino operators hide a lot of different conditions for eligibility in the wording and don’t always showcase that. Remember that their purpose is to get you to bite and to do that, they may strategically withhold a few details until you are this-close-to hooked. It’s good business for them, but you have to protect yourself. Make sure when you look at a new bonus you look at all the details before you jump right in. You want to know exactly what the terms and conditions are so you know if the “deal” really is one.
