That is exactly what happened recently in Delaware at the Delaware Park Casino. The casino was open to a blackjack team of three men who allegedly were cheating at the tables. The casino noted that the three were working together and frequented the casino at the same time, and at the same table numerous times throughout a week-long period. Surveillance tapes showed that one of the men was using the table’s chips to mark the ten-valued cards. The three men, Jiehui Huang, Huan Quan and Raymond Li were all working together and using the marked cards as a means of making wagers. They were all taken into custody prior to being able to cash in their earnings on the seventh-day visit to the casino’s blackjack tables. They were stopped this time but police confirm that they believe the men are part of a much bigger ring that trolls the casinos in the area to use tactics like this one. Marking the cards though is one of the oldest tricks in the book and it is easily discernable, and able to be proven, by the casino surveillance. It also makes it that much easier for the casino to prove they did actually commit the crime since it leaves evidence that they can’t argue with. If the cards are marked, then they are marked!
The organization that is cheating casinos is said to be much larger than police originally estimated. Their job now is to question the men brought into custody and try to find the center of the ring and the depth of the crimes they have committed. This could take some time, but they are ready to investigate the full scale of the issue. This is just another incident of gambling criminal activity going on. The market is ready for some changes and expansion so police and casino security teams have to get their protocols ready to handle the surge in gambling, and inevitably the surge in crime. Now is a time when they have to get a handle on it due to how much growth is expected to happen when the US market officially opens itself up for legalized online gambling.
