Rival Gaming
Rival Gaming Blackjack
Rival Gaming is a new company whose
blackjack games and software
have proven strong enough to garner attention from online gamers and
game reviewers. Only eight online casinos currently use Rival Gaming’s software:
All of the Rival Gaming casinos offer free accounts and downloads of
their games — losing play money can be just as entertaining and
equally educational as losing all your real money.
Rival Gaming blackjack is
available with Las Vegas rules as a single hand blackjack game and
in a multiple hand mode.
You can play up to three hands at a time in the Rival Gaming
blackjack multi hand game.
The Vegas style blackjkack game offered is actually what is known as Vegas
Downtown blackjack rules. This is a six deck game, and don’t forget
as with all online play the deck is shuffled between each hand, so it will not do any good
to count cards. Blackjack pays 3 to 2 — of course
insurance is available and pays 2 to 1. You may split up to three times per hand, making a
total of four hands, with the exception of aces which can be split
only once. Any starting two cards can be doubled down on, and splits are wide open. The
dealer must hit on a soft 17. All ties are a push, with the bet
returned to the player. This is true even if both you and the dealer are dealt blackjack. This
game, played with perfect strategy, offers a 0.52% house edge. Not
great, not bad.
The only other blackjack game offered by Rival gaming is a multiple
hand version of their Vegas style game — same game played out over
multiple hands. The house edge in this game is .50%.
One word of caution for players interested in Rival Gaming — users
and reviewers warn against opening multiple accounts through
multiple Rival Gaming casinos. Rival has cracked down on this
practice and is limiting or cutting off all winnings for users who
do this.
