Finally, a few months later he went to the Tropicana and walked away with $5.8-million. So how did he do it? Though he never revealed his strategy, he did state that whatever it was served him well. He said in response also that it was really luck that served him the best. This is contradictory to what blackjack gamblers have been saying for decades. “Come to the casino to win at the blackjack tables and you have to bring a good strategy!” This is a helpful tool…but not always. Just ask Johnson. He claims that it was luck that pushed him over the edge and brought him the amazing wins. He eventually gave interviews to various publications and confirmed that he was the high-roller who almost felled the Tropicana in one foul swoop.
